My name is Abel Martinez, I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. From there I moved to Paterson, New Jersey, where I spent 11 years from the age of 9. In 2009 I moved to San Diego, California, and have been here ever since (a total of 5 years). I now attend Miramar College and will be transferring to San Diego State University majoring in International Business.
Though my passion is mainly in business, I am an avid traveler, night life enthusiast, and adventure seeker. I have been to approximately 20 different states and 5 different countries. My summer plans are always to visit a new place and expand my horizon. With this love for traveling, a love for food comes hand in hand. So I am always looking for new and delicious places to eat. I really enjoy music but more than just that I love to dance, hence my love for night clubs. Some of the spots I usually attend are Stingaree, Fluxx, Sidebar, and Club Caribe. Would love to take people out sometime if you're interested!
Favorite Spots: Nightclubs, restaurant diving, and adventures require clothing so I am always shopping. My favorite place to buy some cool gear is at Fashion Valley Mall. Some of my favorite eateries are Ra Sushi, Carnitas Snack Shack, Rei Do Gado, and Manna Korean BBQ.×
I'm Adam Barros, originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico and lived there all my life until college. I moved to Denver, Colorado to attend the University of Denver in 2007 and I graduated from there in 2011. I studied Spanish and International Relations with a minor in Business. In September 2013 I moved to Madrid, Spain and have been here ever since. I teach English, both publicly in a primary school and privately through one-on-one classes.
More than anything, I love music. I listen to Big L when I'm making my morning coffee, Pretty Lights on the metro on the way to work, Kendrick Lamar after school, and SBTRKT just before bed (just an example of my day today). I love all genres and can groove to just about anything. I use to write/photograph for a music blog as well as DJ in my spare time in Denver. I haven't broken into the Madrid music scene just yet but it's one of my goals for 2014.
Travel is my other main passion and something I've become quite accustomed to since moving to Europe. Whether it's just a day trip to a small village just south of Madrid or a two week Euro-trip, I'm always the first one in my group of friends to commit. There is something so liberating about just getting up and going somewhere new. I try to travel every weekend if my budget allows for it.
Other hobbies include skiing, eating (tapas crawls in Madrid are the bomb), and exploring the nightlife of this wonderful city.×
My name is Alfredo Molina Rivera, I'm 27 years old, and live in Chihuahua City. I've been living here since I was a child, although I have lived in other places as well (Mexico City, Rome, Barcelona). I have a Master degree in Social Media Marketing. Right now I work as Fundraising Manager for a NGO.
I LOVE to go climbing and hiking, I look forward to going outdoors every weekend since 10 years ago, doing different things as climbing (sport and traditional style), bouldering, rafting, mountaineering, canyoneering. In Chihuahua, I've traveled from the Chihuahua Desert to the Copper Canyon, between towns and cities.
Also, with enough money, I go once or twice a year to the big peaks (Pico de Orizaba, Iztaccihuatl) in Mexico, in the central part of the country (Mexico State, Puebla, Querétaro), or to the water canyons in Nuevo León.×
I am Ana Barbu and live in Manhattan. Originally from a city in Transylvania, the northwestern region of Romania. I've been in NYC for 3 years (already lived in Brooklyn, Queens, and now, Manhattan). I studied journalism at Syracuse University's Newhouse School and communications & political science at Adelphi University on Long Island. Now I am the director of web communications for a college in the Bronx. I oversee the public and internal websites, social media channels, the internal digital system, and my personal favorite: the creation of a new website.
I love to go to concerts and write about music. My love for music journalism came out of my classical music education at a Romanian music school and my affinity for writing. I write a blog about upcoming artists, Uncovered Sounds. I enjoy talking about music with anyone who's interested, particularly those following new music trends and upcoming artists. I also fell in love with web coding while studying online journalism, so I'm excited about expanding my coding knowledge. I have a weakness for chocolate, baking, and creating recipes. Lots of bakeries to explore in New York City, lucky me.
My favorite spots in the city are South Street Seaport, Battery Park, and any area of Central Park. The best places to hang out: Think Coffee and Fat Cat in the West Village; 88 Orchard coffee on the Lower East Side; the Hungarian Pastry Shop on the Upper West Side; The Press Lounge, a rooftop bar in Hell's Kitchen; and the Bowery Ballroom -- among many others. I also enjoy the "scenic subway ride" -- taking the B, D, N, or Q trains over the Manhattan Bridge to or from Brooklyn -- can't get enough of the Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn Bridge.×
Andy Holton, 26. Seattle, WA, by way of California. I've lived in Seattle for about a year now. I am a Sales and Consulting Engineer for a mid-sized enterprise software company, and I studied Materials Science and Engineering at UCLA.
I am an avid skier. In the winters, I am usually up in the mountains every weekend with my friends and family, usually at Stevens Pass in WA or Heavenly in CA. I've recently started backcountry skiing, which is much more popular up here in Washington than in California, so summers are no longer snow free. In addition, play hockey (both ice and roller) and am a big fan. I play in the GSHL and at Skate King, and although there is no NHL team in Seattle (Go Sharks!) I enjoy watching the T-Birds play.
I recently moved to Cap Hill, and am now in easy walking distance of Tacos Chuki's, which has some of the best Mexican food in Seattle. Also nearby are Hot Mama's with it's world famous Pesto Pizza, and Molly Moon's which has some of the best and most interesting ice cream flavors ever.×
I was born in Chicago and have been living in Denver since 2011. I go to the University of Denver and am studying Marketing, Business Ethics, and Legal Studies, and work for admissions at DU and Expeditions Unlimited (a wilderness guiding organization).
I love living in Colorado because Im able to go fly fishing throughout the year on the South Platte near Cheesman Canyon, snowboarding in the winter at Vail, Breckenridge, and Keystone, and backpacking in Lost Creek Wilderness in the summer. I'm always looking for new friends to adventure outdoors with!
The Denver area has a ridiculous amount of fun places to be. I head up to Jefferson County to Bear Creek all the time for hiking, fishing, and biking. I also love the nightlife in Denver with great bars and breweries like Punch Bowl Social, Illegal Pete's, and Ace. It's hard to beat Renegade and The Pioneer right on DU.×
I'm Brian K. Le, 25 years old, originally from the City of Angels, and now a transplant living in Deep South. Atlanta is pretty cool - it reminds me of Los Angeles, just without the beach. I've been here coming on two years now due to attending Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health to get my Master's of Health Policy in Health Policy and Management. I attended UCLA for my BS in Biochemistry. I'm an avid runner/outdoors enthusiast, public health policy professional, and am currently trying to grow my running/outdoors company. I actually also just started my own photography company with one of my best friends! I really love the outdoors. I try to go hiking, camping or tubing at least once a week. If you count trail runs then much more.
I love little hipster tea and coffee shops like Dr. Bombay's Underwater Tea Party. I go there quite often to do work, hang out, and relax after runs at Candler Park. I also love catching sunsets at Stone Mountain, coffee at Cafe Intermezzo, and just having a good time in Downtown Decatur around Dancing Goats.
I enjoy exploring Cloudland Canyon State Park and Providence Canyon State Park. It's nice to get away from the city and get back in touch with nature to reset. Hit me up if anyone's down for some explorin'!×
I am Chris Marsek, born and raised in Brewster, NY and have been living here for now for about 21 years. I graduated from Plattsburgh State University in Plattsburgh, NY with a B.S. Environmental Science. Currently I work as a Chemical Operator II for R.S.A Corporation and am Band Manager for Karma Darwin and Apostrophe.
My biggest passions are snowboarding and playing/singing music. I've rode everywhere from Aspen to MT. Tremblanc Quebec and Stowe VT. Although I play music I enjoy managing the bands even better because it allows me to meet new people and see new places and cities. I also play a lot of video games from rpg's to sports games. I love to play softball in the summer, so I consider myself a nerdy jock.
Favorite spots: Gagopa Karaoke bar, Spike hill music, Just barhopping in Manhattan×
I'm Chris Porter, was born in Winter Park, Fl and have been residing in Altamonte Springs, for about 10 years now.
I attend the University of Central Florida in the college of Interdisciplinary studies with a split major of Art and Commerce and a minor in Mass Communications. After graduation, I would love to work in marketing and promotions on an international scale.
I love road cycling and going out on the many trails across the city. I mostly ride the ‘Cross-Seminole Trail’ from Altamonte out to Lake Mary and over into Oviedo, which can be around 30 miles, give or take with side ventures. I also enjoy running and run twice weekly with a group in Lake Mary as well as on my own around some of the beautiful parks and lakes at Crane’s Roost and Lake Eola. If you are looking for fun places to get out in the fresh air and exercise lets do it! To hangout I love adventuring and looking for places to enjoy new experiences, great food and fine spirits.×
Cody Colin Chase is my name and I’m originally from a very small town in Western New York called Killbuck. I attended high school and some college around the area until I decided that I wanted to go exploring the United States a bit. After seven years spent out and about meeting the coolest people and seeing some pretty astounding places, I find myself back where it all began; well… almost. Guys, it is okay, I live in Buffalo now. I am a full time student seeking a film degree while I moonlight in any odd job I can get my hands on.
I’m a sucker for comedy. Improv, stand-up, theater, you name it! If it is performance based and can make me laugh, I’m in! It doesn’t stop there though; I am a fan of dramatic theater, street musicians, coffee shop performances, really anything live entertainment based, I can get into.
Wherever I am I seek out the creative folks. The actors, the filmmakers, the writers, the painters, the musicians… I am always looking to find someone or something to inspire me.
If you’re not from or around Buffalo during the time it takes for me to figure this place out, I say we give it a shot together. Keep an eye out as I meander my way around connecting with some inspiring people in this inspiring place.×
My name is Daiting Song, I'm 20 years old, grew up in China, but currently living in LA, where I've been for the last year and a half. I attend UCLA and I major in linguistics and computer science.
I sing and write music, and love collaborating with talented people to make music together! I love traveling, and have a "26-year-old plan" of traveling around the world by that age. I have to use the opportunities for study abroad and ways to make the trips as cost efficient as possible. I run, but not mainly for the sake of running, but to watch the scenes move. I think that's the cheapest way to see the world haha. I used to be able to run from UCLA to Santa Monica and North Hollywood and places that are 7 miles away. Now I'm taking Wing Chun classes and want to be able to fight! Also, I swim every now and then too.
My favorite spots are always my next spots, so they could be anywhere. Boba Tea - Volcano Tea is the best×
I am Daniele Ugolini, 26 years old Italian guy from Montefalco, a small city in Umbria. I live in Milano. I moved here almost 7 years ago to make my university and then I started to work here. I studied business administration and now I work for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. I have a start-up with a friend of mine. It's an early stage start-up but we are confident about the future...
I love traveling, but considering my limited time I am feeling really bad now. I usually like moving to a different country so I can learn more about the culture, people and most important -- not feeling as a tourist. Tasting food is the best experience of traveling. I lived in Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Canada, United Kingdom. I've visited a lot of other countries, and the Philippines is one of the most amazing trips I've ever been on.
I make wines. My hometown is famous to have one of the best wines in the world. I am not an expert on tasting wines, but I love to make it. From grabbing the grapes to the whole process till the table. I love to walk around changing streets and drive a vespa.
Football - as every Italian I used to play football and I like to talk about the mistakes after every matches. I am a Milan fan! I am learning programming. It's cool and makes me feel great every time I build something by myself. I love to meet people. I Airbnb my place to meet new people and give time suggestion about Milan and Italy. I love to criticize Italy. I think that renaissance is over and Italia doesn't realize it. I love tea, which is why I moved to Taiwan
Bar Cuore - Hipster bar in Milan
Colonne di San Lorenzo - Chill out area
Giulio Pane e Ojo - Real Italian trattoria
Plastic - Most transgressive place in Milan
Tunnel Club - Best for electronic music

Mag - Bar NY style with the best cocktails in the city
Portnoy - Worst bar as design and people but definitely the best long island ice tea in Italy
Via dei Lavandai - Most romantic street
Museo del '900 - I go there to relax and take it easy - see the 'Artist's Shit' give me amazing ideas
G&B - Best panini around the centre
Spontini - Best non-classic pizza
I am David Deutschman, was born and raised in St. Paul, and currently live here. I've lived my whole life in Minnesota, but have bounced around to various parts, like Bloomington, Minneapolis, Mounds View, New Brighton, Lino Lakes, and Blaine. I graduated from Augsburg College with a major in Elementary Education and am currently working as a 4th Grade Teacher.
I love going to art exhibits, such as going to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the First Thursday in NE Minneapolis, and would love to go check it out with some new people. I'm a beer connoisseur and looking for fellow connoisseurs that would be willing to go for beer or winery tour. I love playing sports and I'm always looking for more teams to play on. Right now I play in a soccer, softball, kickball, football, and volleyball league. Fun fact - I've attended all of the Midwest Tomatofests.
Favorite spots: Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Target Field, First Avenue, Acme Comedy×
I'm pursuing a PhD in Chemistry at UCSB, it's a near perfect way to keep life moving. Every day I wake up to a blue sky, motorcycle, and the chance to discover something new. I used to compete in ballroom dancing, timber team (yes, competitive lumberjack sports), I went to school in Connecticut, can probably fix your car, but prefer to drive it across the country. Done that three times, going on four soon. Because I'm not your typical lab monkey, or up and coming university professor, I say startup or bust. Helped out At The Pool since before they found the pool, now working on a super sorta secret GPS startup. The best part of doing so many different things is meeting people that live their passions every day. And just to fill in the blanks: some soccer, photography, fluency in Hungarian, a tendency to climb mountains, sleep in tents, and take the long way home.
"When enough people tell you that you'll do something great, you start to believe them."
In the next five years I want to start a company, get a PhD, go to New Zealand, see the Northern Lights, and just maybe, find time to fix my car.×
My name is Gagik and I am a computer engineering student at UCLA. I have lived in Sacramento, CA since I moved here from Armenia when I was six years old.
I play a lot of tennis and basketball and enjoy being outside as much as possible. I love to experience other cultures and plan on traveling a lot in the near future.
I love swimming, biking, and hiking, and Sacramento is a very convenient location for these activities. The Sacramento River and the American River are just a bike ride away and it only takes a few hours of driving to get to Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe. Sacramento is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the United States (according to bicycling.com) and has more trees per capita than any city in the world; it is a great place for nature enthusiasts. In addition, going to a Sacramento Kings game is a lot of fun. Kings fans are often referred to as "the best fans in the NBA" and rightfully so: they set the Guinness World Record for loudest indoor sports arena. Sacramento also has a minor league baseball team and recently got a new professional soccer team, Sacramento Republic FC.
Favorite spots: You should check out Old Sacramento and the California State Fair if you're in the area. If you're in Rancho Cordova, check out El Favorito Taqueria for really good Mexican food.×
Hola!, my name is Getse Anzar, I'm 22 going on 23 soon. I live in Guadalajara, Mexico. I've been living here since I remember. I'm an ux and ui designer, recently graduated from ITESO.
I really like discovering new places, whether they're in my city or somewhere else, I enjoy eating, drinking and learning from the place I'm visiting. I like giving feedback on the places I go. I love the beach as much as I love sea food. I'm a mermaid living in a big city. I like raw food.
I go to the beach whenever I can, my favorite one right now is a beach (I just discovered) called Majahuitas, in the state of Jalisco (where I'm from). It's so peaceful I can hear my thoughts.
Fav beaches so far: Majahuitas(Boca de Tomatlán, Mexico), Xcacel (Tulum, Mexico), Playa Balandra (La Paz, Mexico), Paako beach (Hawaii, US)×
Hi, my name is Hart and I'm a 19-year old engineering student at Santa Barbara. I'm also an athlete, photographer, and avid adventurer. My favorite thing to do is be outdoors. I love to hike, camp, explore and discover new places; and i'll never leave the house without my camera. I captained my basketball and volleyball teams in high school and made it to the CIF championships and state semi-finals my senior year. But my studies are equally important to me. Along with my engineering courses, I am a member of Greek life at my university, which allows me to expand my activities across campus and throughout my surrounding community.
I have my own mixed media website on which a very large group of people I associate with check back every day for new content. I am Editor-In-Chief of my school's Greek Newspaper in which I manage my own writing team as well as handle all published content. I also write for a music blog.
Favorite spots for hiking, I love Dragon's Back, 7 Falls, Cold Springs, Inspiration Point, and La Cumbre Peak.
I play beach volleyball avidly, mostly at East Beach. I surf at Campus Point. Camping on top of Gibraltar Mountain is always great. And there's always competitive pickup basketball at Girsh Park.
Paradise Cafe is a Santa Barbara classic restaurant. South Coast Deli is where you can get the best sandwiches. Los Agaves has the best Mexican food. Cieltitos downtown also has awesome tacos and a great bar. Oilio Crudo Bar is a more upscale bar, and Tonic is a good club.×
John Ermitanio, 22 , Honolulu. I have been here for 4 years and graduated from Shidler College of Business. I am a business developer and consultant.
I love the ocean and I surf almost every day. It allows me to detach from a profit driven environment and engage in a feeling of awareness and gratitude for life. I'm also always stoked to get barrelled! Would love to teach people how to surf sometime.
Favorite Surf Breaks - Rock piles, Publics, Kewalos, Bowls, Himalayas, Gas Chambers, Hiking Trail: Kaau Crater×
Hi, I'm Julie, 25-year old native Californian currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I've been here since September 2013 and got to experience my first REAL winter (Thanks Polar Vortex 1 and 2!) I'm a UCLA graduate who is attending Washtenaw Community College while working full-time at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). I took a huge leap of faith moving out here and leaving pretty much everything I know.
I'm a huge foodie and gamer, and like to spend my free time hanging out with friends and my dog Scout. My background is in the video game industry, and I'm always looking for ways to get back into it. Luckily Ann Arbor has a growing tech industry where you'll find plenty of tech startups! Not only does Ann Arbor have a great tech scene, but it's a hiker's paradise. You'll find tons of nature out here in the Midwest.
If you're ever in Ann Arbor, then you HAVE to visit Zingerman's (Deli, Roadhouse, Bakehouse, they're all amazing!)! Other places I love are Bell's Diner for amazing bibimbap, Roos Roast for some of the best coffee you'll ever have, and Cherry Republic for the best cherry creations. In the summer, be sure to check out the Top of the Park Summer Festival along with Sonic Lunch concerts at Liberty Square. Also be sure to visit the Upper Peninsula, Detroit, and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Oh and PS, Canada is only 45 minutes away!×
My name is Nick Nowlan, I am 22 and live in Dublin, Ireland where I have been all my life! I currently attend Trinity College Dublin, where I study Business and Political Science.
I like to spend my free time trying to not be awful at DJing, sailing (I've been doing various sailing jobs in Dublin and in Rhode Island every year since I was 15!), and despite the lack of snow in Ireland I try to get skiing whenever I can. I also have a budding coffee addiction.
I like good food, and it's rare that a new restaurant has been open a few weeks before I've given it a try. I'm always open to trying new food, the spicier the better! Music also plays a huge role in my life, and I always try to spend some time every day finding new stuff.×
I'm Noelle, a 19-year-old student at UCSB, and I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. I've lived in Northern California my entire life, before moving down to Isla Vista for school. I currently study marine biology and English literature; my favorite of which are invertebrates and postmodernism, respectively.
I've had a lifelong passion for art and culture, both making and admiring, while I've also added a few new things like SCUBA/freediving and biking to my life. I did fencing in the tradition of knights and a bit of freelance photography on the side to stretch my visual creativity muscles years ago, and it would be cool to get back into both. I spent most of my time finding my favorite places around the Bay, but now I'm always up for finding new museums, dive spots, biking/hiking trails, and camping spots!
My current favorite beach dive is at Refugio State Beach, which has a lot of great rocky reef areas to explore, and the Devereaux Point by the Coal Oil Point is a great place for surfing at high tide and tidepooling at low tide. Cajun Kitchen has the best brunch, and Rori's at the Santa Barbara Public Market has the best ice cream.×
My name is Sidao Li, I'm 21 years old, was born in China (age 0-12), raised in Sacramento (age 12-18), and currently going to UCSD (age 18 - now) in San Diego. I am Economic major and minor in International Studies.
I like to travel and explore the city. I have been to Florida, Minnesota, and Nevada in the US as well as Nicaragua, Caribbean, Mexico and many different places in China. I plan to visit Washington DC, London, and Tanzania in the next few years so if you see me somewhere don't be afraid to say hi! I love hiking, and have hiked up an active volcano, and also been to the top of the Great Wall. Recently, I have been hiking around San Diego/La Jolla where my school is and I would love to meet new people with similar interests, so please hit me up! :)
Favorite spots: Mt. Soledad, Potato Chip Hiking Trail, La Jolla Cove, Scripps Costal Reserve, Monty's Surf Camp in Jiquilillo, Nicaragua - I would love to go back there sometimes in the future!×
My name is Max and my customers call me Taxi Max. I am 52 years old, and have lived in Curacao for the past 51 years. I Went to school right here in Curacao and worked for many years as a security officer. I acquired additional knowledge and experience on the physical security field with seminars held in the US. During that time, I was a member of ASIS (American Society and Industrial Security) and was the first to install biometric identification systems for access control, time and attendance on the island of Curacao. The past 25 years I’ve been a Military reserve, additionally I’ve achieved three padi diving courses and my next step was to become a private investigator. I did this course together in part with personal protection. With all this, my background in the security field is quite extensive! Nowadays I am a Taxi driver who serves all that travels to Curacao!
As a Taxi driver I love to do rappel! and If there is anyone that likes this as well, they can contact me to setup a meeting and discuss the date and time for an adventure. Additionally I do snorkeling trips whenever I take tourist on an island tour. They can book this with me in order to enjoy our underwater world.
On daily basis I visit restaurants, clubs and beaches to meet with travelers and establish the contact that allows me to build confidence in my new customers and offer them my services. If you’re ever in Curacao, you should contact me at email@example.com or Whatsapp me at +5999-6976302 so I can show you around!×
My name is Valentino, I'm 31 years old and am living in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I live in "Jardim Paulista" area, close to the center and Avenida Paulista, the heart of SP. I've been here for the last three years, after an Italian company asked me to move here in SP. The proposal was really exciting so I decided to move! Actually, I'm the Country Manager of a company that produces and delivers apps for mobile device. I'm leading the Brazilian branch.
I have two big passions, music and traveling. I like to play piano as much as I can, even if the piano I have is in Italy :) I play whenever I visit my mother (she lives in Sicily). I love to discover new places, cultures and people. Recently, I went to Cuba, Peru and North of Brazil.
Being Italian, I love food. My favorite type of food is actually Mediterranean. I know all the best Italian restaurants in SP, but I also enjoy Japanese food out here! I enjoy going to the cinema with friends, but here in SP a must is the bar called Barzinho This is a mix of typical Brazilian music, a great place to drink beer with your friends. It's impossible to be quiet and not make friends and dance the whole night :)×
